I’m so tired today and it’s only Monday.
Not so very good to start the week with this mood. I have too many things on my to-do list that I need to start working on but I have no energy or should I say interest to do it. My mom asked me to look for fuse holders but I’m not in the mood to search things online. I just want to go to bed and look at the ceiling thinking nothing. I’m really like a blank page today.
Archive for January, 2010Just in time for our insurance renewal. Our home and auto insurance are bundled together. And I will only consider auto insurance quotes if it can include home insurance together. We get the maximum discount if these two are packaged. It reminds me to call our insurance agent tomorrow to inquire any special discount they have as a loyal customer for so many years. If none, then it’s really time to shop for new rate and coverage. Have you meet anyone with malignant Mesothelioma? I have not met one and if ever I will, I need to advise that person to seek medical and attorney’s help. Mesothelioma are often caused by continuous exposure to asbestos. In addition, this is commonly present to old buildings or office construction. The city ordinance in building constructions helped us to have an asbestos free workplace. This is the photo I got online for mesothelioma that attacks lungs. My son who turned 15 months 2 weeks ago can open all the doors in the house except the one with a round knob. This reminds me to put back all the safety products we have installed for my eldest before. His hand is not big enough to turn the knob yet but soon he can do it too. He can open the kitchen pantry, the sink cabinet in the kitchen and bathrooms, grandma’s medicine cabinet, and other drawer that he can reach. A 15-month old toddler can truly be a handful! This weekend will be the day to put these things back. I saw this Total Gym while putting Gabe to sleep last night and I’m so eager to try it! I’m actually about to check out and commit myself to pay $100 per month for 14 months. But I promised to my husband that I will let him know all big purchases I will do. Although the monthly $100 is not big, the total purchase price is! lol I have a feeling that he will say $1400 is too expensive for a piece of exercise machine. Ahhh! If that’s the case, I will do more praying and more research of the product so I can prove that the $1400 is worth it. I will prepare myself to read more reviews of this machine after I read the side effects of colonoxy online. The Totay Gym will save me from gym membership and travel time going to the gym as well. Some people are too comfortable to buy diet pills online without considering the risk involved. Oh well, I will not blame them. They are very desperate to loose weight that they just ignore their safety. I’m desperate too but I won’t risk my health just to be skinny. Some online store are also reputable.. I’m not saying that all online stores for diet pills cannot be trusted. Of course only few can be trusted. So know the company well and products before you pop that pills to your mouth. Why face cream was not invented to work as an eye cream too? I find it hard to find what eye cream will work and I’m scared too because the price of under eye creams are often more expensive that the face cream. I remember I asked the store makeup person before about makeup remover, I told her that I want a makeup remover that will work as an eye makeup remover too. And she said there is none because the base for the two cleansers are different. The oil base that help cleans makeup from the eyes, which oil base cleanser, is not recommended for face. Maybe this is the reason too why face cream will not work best as an eye cream and vice versa. Does it make sense? I’m advocate of natural supplements and products Anyway, I just want to share this article I just read about “Longevity—Is the Secret in Okinawa?” The islands of Okinawa, Japan, were estimated to have nearly 740 centenarians in 2006—90 percent of whom were women—out of a population of 1.3 million. This represents about 50 centenarians for every 100,000 people, according to the Okinawa Centenarian Study, headed by Dr. Makoto Suzuki. In most developed lands, the ratio is thought to be between 10 and 20 per 100,000. The ongoing study, said to be “the longest continuously running centenarian study in the world,” found that “an unusual number of centenarians [were] in extraordinarily healthy shape.” To find out why, Suzuki and his team examined the lifestyle and genetics of over 900 centenarians, as well as many other Okinawans in their 70’s or older. The researchers found that the subjects tended to be lean and fit, that their arteries were clean, and that they had remarkably low rates of cancer and heart disease. And of those in their late 90’s, fewer had dementia than comparable populations in other developed lands. The secret? One major factor was genetics. But there were other factors too—the avoidance of tobacco, moderation in the use of alcohol, and a good diet. The Okinawan diet tends to be low in calories and high in vegetables and fruits, natural fiber, and good fats (omega-3, monounsaturated fat). And the people have the habit of eating only until they are about 80 percent full. “You should stop at the first feeling of fullness you get,” says Dr. Bradley Willcox, a coinvestigator in the study. “There’s about a 20-minute delay before the stomach tells the brain.” Okinawans keep physically active through gardening, daily walking, traditional dancing, or other activities. Personality testing revealed the centenarians to be optimistic and adaptable. They handled stress well, and the women especially manifested “strong social integration.” “There’s no magic pill” for longevity, says Willcox. As the study revealed, it is influenced by genes, diet, exercise, good habits, “and healthy ways of coping with stress.” Instead of doing research for my mom’s cholesterol medication, this is what I am doing, browsing sales online! I’m not on the verge yet of screaming I am acnefree! I still have to take care of my skin and avoid eating foods that trigger my hormones to produce more oil. I noticed that the food that triggers my pimple hormones big time is when I eat fried chicken (specially with the skin), other deep fried foods, and shrimp. Yes, in that order from the most to the least culprit. I often get acne on my lower chin only and they said that this is often caused by eating a lot of meat. I’m not big eater of beef so that one is out on my list already. If you’re like me who get acne like this.. then watch what you eat, you might have the same trigger foods. |
