Two of my friends suggested to buy gold online from Golden Eagle as part of my investment portfolio. I’ve been considering it but I need more readings on that. Regular things on my plate:

- Study for the CPA exams

- Regular participation in the field service

- Profitable trading

- Other self study reading (meditation, baking, and photography)

Things above are stuff I need to add from my full time job. Yaaaay! Too busy! Actually it’s good to be busy, you have less time in thinking and doing evil things.

There are items that I want to buy right away to take advantage of the sale price.. but I’m short of cash until the next payday. I’m always tempted to get a cash advance so I can take the discount. It never happen yet that I took that option because my husband or my mom will always tell me to wait, as the “deals will get better next month” or “you don’t need to rush in buying it” I value their opinion sometimes cause it can really save my financial life. But if I’m out of option and I need cash in an emergency I will surely take a cash advance.

I sold the last stocks I have last week. I need the money thus the liquidation. I still have few investments with my retirement account but I do not want to be penalized in using it. I was looking at the option of coins collection if the gain will equal as investment with stocks in the future. What do you think? Another thing added on my list to check.

Did you know that even in general the economy is down, the government is injecting money to local governments to build roads and other construction projects to boost and help the economy? That is the reason why company is consistent in posting labourer jobs for various projects. This is actually a good news when you see that the economy is slowing down.. expect that the government will bring aid by releasing money to work on projects. I meant of good and bad effect when the economy is going down. Just think in general.. that despite the bad situation, whether in economy or other situation, there is always good behind it that we can expect.

I’ve been thinking to venture with my sister to import good, like costume jewelry, from Asian countries to bring here in the US. However, I have no idea about the import control involved. So the other thing we are considering is to bring goods in Manila instead. But that’s another thing. Huh! Too many plans but were not working on any. My kids are still small, big capital, time to travel.. and etc. are just some of the issues I have to consider to be seriously involved on this venture. Oh well, just start with the plan for now..

I’m thinking if I should really take my hobby of photography as a business. I don’t feel that equipped or ready to join the professional photographer world. But many of my friends is asking me now to cover their events or their traditional family portraits, and to charge a fee. I have this attitude of shyness when it comes to money talk that involves my talent/service. lol If I have cash outlay I have no problem talking about it.. but if I have no material investment, I found it tough to discuss. Maybe a formal training and upgrading my camera body and lenses to more professional one will give me more confidence to charge a fee. For now, I’m too shy to ask.

The only drawback is if you’re not responsible enough handling it.. then you will be indebted up to you neck.. where you can no longer breath. Like how we say it “baon sa utang, abot hanggang leeg.”

Early last year, I start controlling myself in spending/shopping a lot. I’m glad that I’m 75% tamed this time. And I was able to save money to pay off debts. I still have debt that I want to get rid off and projects I want to accomplish this year. So more controlling and savings again for this year. I learned to work on what I have in my budget. I learned to plan everything. But of course there always slippage from what I set up.. but these things are minimal now compared the past years. I’ve been scouting daily deals or clipping coupons to save money from our everyday needs. And more clippings will happen this year  

Having a good credit will enable you basically everything that the market has.. What I mean is you can get approved when you apply for credit. And having credit cards will increase your purchasing power letting you buy big purchases. Can you tell how I love my credit cards? *lol* I love it so much that I cannot go out without them.
